Hello!

I’m Alex Hanel, a Minnesota native now living in Seattle, Washington.

I first picked up a camera in 2016 while working with Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos in Honduras. It started as a 13 month job, but ended three years and nearly 200,000 photos later.

I also write, I copy edit, I quote The Office too much. I’ve managed social media accounts, I staffed the 2020 Democratic National Convention, and I’ve done digital communications for community health centers and universal child care campaigns.

But I’m happiest when I’m taking other people’s photos.
